This depends on the look you want to achieve and the window depth. An "Inside Recess" fit provides a neat, flush look that doesn't cover the window frame—ideal for modern interiors. Fitting "Outside the Recess" (on the wall above the window) is better for blocking out more light, hiding uneven window frames, or ensuring the blind doesn't obstruct window handles when raised. During our home consultation, we’ll advise which option offers the best functionality for your specific room.

Maintenance is remarkably simple. For shutters and faux-wood blinds, a quick wipe with a damp microfibre cloth is usually sufficient. For fabric blinds, we recommend regular light dusting with a vacuum brush attachment to keep the material looking fresh and allergen-free.

Windows are rarely perfectly square, especially in older Wiltshire properties. Our professional measuring service accounts for "run-out," handle clearance, and recess depth.
